Doggy Cake

Doggy Cake

Yesterday we had a very special birthday in our house. Miss Bianca (Anca for short) turned 1! So for her first birthday I wanted to make it special, and make her a cake. So I started searching the google search to find a doggy cake recipe. I found this blog with a list of doggy cakes HERE, but I couldn't find one that I had all the ingredients for or one I liked so I came up with my own. So without more rambling on here is how I made this cake !

Ingredients

2 eggs
1 apple
2 bananas
1/4 heaping cup of peanut butter
1 teaspoon baking powder

makes 1 9in round cake
check to make sure your peanut butter does not contain Xylitol if it does you will need to buy a brand that does not contain this as it is poison to dogs

Prep

Heat oven to 350 deg.
grease 9in round cake pan

Directions

  1. peal and core apple
  2. mince apple
  3. thinly slice 1/2 of a banana
  4. mix eggs, minced apple, sliced banana, peanut butter, and backing powder, until all combined (a potato masher works great)
  5. put cake mix in greased pan and place in preheated oven for 20-25 min or until slightly golden brown
  6. let cool
  7. lightly frost with peanut butter
  8. slice the other 1 1/2 banana and place on top and your done !

Hope you and your pup enjoy !

NerdBock Jr. Unboxing Oct. 2015

October NerdBlock Jr. Boy's Unboxing 2015

NerdBlock Jr. is a monthly subscription box. With shipping it costs about $20. Get your own HERE!!! Okay so lets get this thing open !

First off we have this adorable rubiks cube stress ball cube. We really enjoy this item, and I would guestimate its value at $5.

Next we have a Slimer plush from the Ghost Busters movie. He is super awesome and the 2nd best thing in this box. I was really excited he was included as he was in a classic NerdBlock that we missed out on. I guestimate his value at $10-$15.

Then we have this cool sandwich holder that would be great for any jr. geek/nerd's lunch box. I valued this at $2-$3.

We also got some Guardians of the Galaxy nesting dolls. These are fun and bring me back to my childhood when I would get in trouble for playing with my Grandma's.  I guestimate there value at $5.

Okay and last is this awesome Pan book mark with some of the original film inside ! Now I think this is the coolest item in the box (I don't think is my son's though) as it will be an amazing collection piece. I cant put a value on something this awesome, but it defiantly made the box worth it in my opinion. Well that's it until next time !

NerdBlock Jr.Girls Unboxing September 2015

Girls Jr. NerdBlock Unboxing September 2015

September 2015 Jr. Girls NerdBlock. This box costs about $15, and you can either choose girls or boys, although they don't differ very much at all, This month the only thing different between boxes was the stickers. Get your own HERE! Okay lets get started !

First we have a Monsters Inc. Mike ty ball plush. He is super cute and we like him alot.

Next we have a pocket Funko Pop and its Olaf from Frozen. Olaf and Funko Pop's are a family favorite so of course we like this item.

Now our Favorite item this box was this little guy. He is an Elektrokidz, and it's hair dances to your favorite beat. So I have not seen these before but it must be some kind of trolls doll. Its super awesome. My grandmother used to collect trolls when I was little. So this was an awesome new version of my past, and I'm actually kinda sad this is my daughters box and I don't get to keep him.

Here is a Video of him in action. Pretty cool.

Then we got some 3D My Little Pony stickers, and they are some really nice stickers.

Last we got this book. The Squickerwonkers by Evangeline Lilly. Illustrated by Johnny Fraser-Allen. Its a beautiful paper back picture book.

So all in all we are really happy with this box. Its the best Jr. NerdBlock we have gotten yet !

Super-Who-Lock Unboxing Sep 2015

 Unboxing Super-Who-Lock Sep. 2015
Super-Who-Lock (Supernatural, Doctor Who and Sherlock) is the theme for this months CollectableGeek subscription box. They had the regular cash for around $25 and the deluxe cash for around $60. This unboxing is the regular cash. To see a deluxe unboxing please visit my friends at Total Mail Call HERE. Lets dig in!
First off is my favorite item in the box the t-shirt. It mashes all 3 shows beautifully and I love it. Seems like it will be comfortable, and its well made.
Then my 2nd favorite items. Mystery mini's! I love mystery mini's. We got a Supernatural one and a Doctor Who one. I got Charlie out of Supernatural. I love Charlie so I was happy with her. Out of the Doctor Who one I got the 10th Doctor or Tennet in his jam jams. Of course I love him as well.
Next I got a Sherlock magnet. Its cool. It will go on my fridge.
Last we got these mini posters. They are cool and all but I do not know what I will do with them. That's it that's the box. I wish there had been a large item, but they are making changes to the cashes to make that happen so I am pretty happy about that. Also I am kicking myself for not getting the deluxe cash as the extra items in there were totally awesome!
Had I gotten the deluxe cash all you see in that picture above would have been in the box as well. So yeah hope you enjoyed !
