• F- Hook
• H- Hook
• Caron Simply Soft yarn black and two greens
• 1^st chain does not count as 1^st stitch
• ( ) holds stitch count
• [ ] repeat whats inside

hdc- half double crochet

dc- double crochet

Gauge

8 stitch X 4 rows = 2in

Hat H-hook, black yarn

1. make a magic circle, ch 2, 10 dc in circle, pull tight, join to 1^st dc (10dc)
2. ch 2, 2 dc in each st around, join to 1^st dc (20dc)
3. ch 2, [2 dc in next st, 1 dc in next st] repeat around, join to 1^st dc (30dc)
4. ch 2, [1 dc in each of the next 2 sts, 2 dc in next st] repeat around, join in 1^st dc (40dc)
5. ch 2, [2 dc in next st, 1 dc in each of the next 3 sts] repeat around, join in 1^st dc (50dc)
6. ch 2, [1 dc in each of the next 4 sts, 2 dc in next st] repeat around, join in 1^st dc (60dc)
7. ch 2, [2 dc in next st, 1 dc in each of the next 5 sts] repeat around, join in 1^st dc (70dc)
8. ch 2, [1 dc in each of the next 6 sts, 2 dc in next st] repeat around, join in 1^st dc (80dc)
9. ch 2, 1 dc in each st around, join to 1^st dc (80dc)

10-17. repeat 9

18. ch 1, 1 hdc in each st around, join to 1^st hdc ….. this row will now be considered 2^nd row of hdc
19. repeat 18, tie off …..this row will now be considered 1^st row of hdc
20. this row will be 1 sc and 3 spk sts to make the pattern, attach green yarn in 2^nd st from tie off, ch 1, [sc in next st, spk st in bottom of 1^st row of hdc, spk st in bottom of 2^nd row of hdc, spk st in bottom of 1^st row of hdc] repeat around, join in 1^st sc
21. ch 1, 1 sc in each st around, join in 1^st sc, tie off

Ribbon F-Hook, Green Yarn
