Will Need/Need to Know
  • I hook
  • Red Heart Super Saver in White
  • ( ) holds needed info and number of stitches
  • [ ] repeat whats inside
  • do NOT turn unless stated
  • Sizes are Child, Woman’s and Men's and will appear in pattern as such
  • magic circle(s) can be replaced with a ch 2 and working in the second ch from hook

hdc- half double crochet

dc dec- double crochet decrease

Hat
  1. make magic circle, 10 hdc inside magic circle, pull tight, join to 1st hdc (10hdc)
  2. ch 1 (does not count as hdc), 2 hdc in each st around, join to 1st hdc (20hdc)
  3. ch 1 (does not count as hdc), [2 hdc in next st, 1 hdc in next st] repeat around, join to 1st hdc (30hdc)
  4. ch 1 (does not count as hdc), [1 hdc in each of the next 2 sts, 2 hdc in next st] repeat around, join to 1st hdc (40hdc)
  5. ch 1 (does not count as hdc), [2 hdc in next st, 1 hdc in each of the next 3 sts] repeat around, join to 1st hdc (50hdc)

  6. repeat 25, men's repeat 25, 2 more times
  7. ch 1 (does not count as sc), working inside of the chin flap we just made, place 2 sc in each dc side, (12, 16 sc), now using your best judgement, 1 sc in each st up the side of the face until 1 space before corner, hdc in next st, dc in corner, hdc in next st, 1 sc in each st across until 1 before corner, hdc in next st, dc in corner, hdc in nex st, again using your best judgement place 1 sc in each st down last side of face, do not tie off we are now going to trun and make the second chin flap
  8. ch 2 (does not count as dc), now working in the bottom of the hat to make the second chin flap, 1 dc in each of the next 8 sts, turn (8 dc)
  9. repeat rows 22-26, tie off

Ears make 2
  1. make magic circle, 5 sc in magic circle, pull tight, join to 1st sc (5 sc)
  2. ch 1 (does not count as sc), 2 sc in each st around, join to 1st sc (10 sc)
  3. ch 1 (does not count as sc), 1 sc in each st around, join to 1st sc (10 sc)
  4. ch 1 (does not count as sc), [2 sc in next st, 1 sc in next st] repeat around, join to 1st sc (15 sc)
  5. ch 1 (does not count as sc), 1 sc in each st around, join to 1st sc (15 sc)
6-27. repeat 5
  1. in sert pipe cleanrs into ear so they stand up, you may want to use 2 for strenght, then sew the bottoms of the ears togethet before sewing them onto the hat, then sew in all your ends and your done !
