• H hook
• red heart with love yarn
• needle to sew in ends
• ( ) holds number of stitches and needed info
• [ ] repeat whats inside
• magic circle can be replaced with a ch 2 and crocheting into the 2^nd ch from hook

Bat & Bow

1. Head, make a magic circle, 15 dc inside magic circle, pull tight, join to 1^st dc (head made) (15dc)
2. Ears, ch 3, sc in 2^nd ch from hook, hdc in next ch, sk next st in bat head and sl st into next, sl st in next 2 sts, ch 3, sc in 2^nd ch from hook, hdc in next ch, sk next st in bat heaad and sl st into next, tie off
3. wings, ch 12, dc in 3^rd ch from hook and each st across, turn (10dc)
4. ch 2 (does not count as dc), 1 dc in each st across, turn (10dc)
5. repeat 4
6. repeat 4
7. ch 2 (does not count as dc), [dc dec across next 2 sts] repeat 1 more time, 1 dc in each of the next 2 sts, [dc dec across next 2 sts] repeat 1 more time, turn (6dc)
8. ch 2 (does not count as dc), dc dec across next 2 sts, 1 dc in each of the next 2 sts, dc dec across next 2 sts, turn (4dc)
9. ch 1 (does not count as sc), 1 sc in each st across, turn (4sc)
10. ch 2 (does not count as dc), 2 dc in next st, 1 dc in each of the next 2 sts, 2 dc in next st, turn (6dc)

16. change to black, ch 1 (does not count as sc), 1 sc in each st across (10sc), place an extra sc or 2 in the corner to make a nice corner, now using your best judgement sc all the way around the bow to make a border placing extra sc in each corner, join to 1^st sc, tie off
17. sew on eyes and mouth to bat head, sew bat head to middle of bow, sew in all ends and done!
