Head
  1. in black, make a magic circle, 15 dc inside magic circle, pull tight, join to 1st dc (head made) (15dc)
  2. Ears, ch 3, sc in 2nd ch from hook, hdc in next ch, sk next st in bat head and sl st into next, sl st in next 2 sts, ch 3, sc in 2nd ch from hook, hdc in next ch, sk next st in bat heaad and sl st into next, tie off
  3. Body, make a magic circle, 15 dc inside magic circle, pull tight, join to 1st dc (15dc)
  4. ch 1 (does not count as hdc), [1 hdc in each of the next 4 sts, 2 hdc in next st] repeat around, join to 1st hdc, tie off (18hdc)
Body

Wings

  3. ch 1 (does not count as sc), sc dec across next 2 sts, tie off (1sc), repeat row 1-3, 6 times so you have 6 orange triangle pieces in total
  4. join black yarn in corner of bottom orange piece, ch 1 (does not count as sc), using you best judgment place 3 sc in side of triangle, in top of triangle place 1 sc ch 2 1 sc all in same st, 3 sc down the side of the triangle, grab next triangle and [place hook in bottom corner, 3 sc up side of triangle, 1 sc ch 2 1 sc all in top of triangle, 3 sc down side of triagel] repeat 1 more time, tie off
  5. repeat row 4, 1 more time
sew in all orange ends, take longest black end and sew up to tip of triangle and sew all 3 tips together, do this for both wings

Assembly

  • sew head to body
  • sew wings to top of body right before head
  • sew in all ends and your done its ready to be added to whatever item you wish or add a bobby pin for an awesome Halloween bow!

  • caron simply soft yarn in dark & light blue, black & white

  • clip to attach to back (can be found on amazon or craft stores)
  • ( ) holds number of stitches and needed info
  • one size fits most

sc- single crochet

Bow
in both dark & light blue holding both strands together
  1. ch 25, dc in the 4th ch from hook (1st ch 3 counts as 1st dc), and each st across, turn (23dc)
  2. ch 3 (counts as dc), 1 dc in each st across, turn (23dc)
  3. repeat row 2, 9 more times
  4. fold together the log way (hotdog style), ch 1 (does not count as sc), now sc both sides together all the way down (23sc) tie off

Bow Middle
in black using 2 strands at once
  1. ch 9, sc in 2nd ch from hook (1st ch does not count as 1st sc), and each st across, turn (8sc)
  2. ch 1(does not count as sc), 1 sc in each st across, turn (8sc)

  • now sew in all your ends to you plaid rectangle we are now going to make into the bow
  • using and color yarn you want, pinch middle of the plaid rectangle you just made together and wrap a good amount of yarn tightly around it to make the middle of the bow, use sewing needle to weave/sew end in
Collar Loop
  1. ch 5, sc in 2nd ch from hook, and each st across, turn (4sc)
  2. ch 1 (does not count as sc), 1 sc in each st across, turn (4sc)
  • ½ inch collar widths repeat row 2, 3 more times
  • 1 inch collar widths repeat row 2, 8 more times
  • 1 ½ inch collar widths repeat row 2, 12 more times
  • 2 in collar widths repeat row 2, 16 more times
  1. fold in half and slip stitch both sides together, tie off

  • sew flower to collar loop and sew in ends
  • ready to go! It will be a bit snug at fist going around the collar but it loosen a bit over time

  • G hook
  • caron simply soft yarn 2 colors my colors are neon green A and light purple B
  • needle to sew in ends
  • ( ) holds number of stitches and need to know info
  • [ ] repeat whats inside
  • Sizes are xxsmall(xsmall, small, medium, large) and appear in pattern as such
  • sizes measure about 9in(10in,12in,14in,16in) around
  • please measure around you dogs head first to insure right size and fit

Gauge
9 stitches x 10 rows not including stating chain = 2 inches

  • using color B, tie yarn tightly to middle of the rectangle we just made, now wrap yarn tightly around to form middle of bow, when happy with size stop wrapping and tie tightly
  • now using the two lose ends from the middle of the bow sew it onto the cowl
  • sew in last 2 ends and done!
