Plaid Collar Bow slip on

Plaid Bow Collar

Will Need/Need to Know
  • I hook
  • Red Heart w/Love in blue, gray and white
  • Needle to sew in ends
  • ( ) holds needed info and number of stitches
  • for collars widths ½ inch to 2 inch

Abbreviations
ch – chain
st(s) – stitch(s)
sl st – slip stitch
sc – single crochet
hdc – half double crochet

Bow
  1. in blue, ch 13, hdc in 2nd ch from hook and each st across, turn (12hdc)
  2. ch 1 (does not count as hdc), 1 hdc in each st across, change to gray, turn (12hdc)
  3. ch 1 (does not count as hdc), 1 hdc in each st across, change to white, turn (12hdc)
  4. ch 1 (does not count as sc), 1 sc in each st across, change to gray, turn (12sc)
  5. ch 1 (does not count as hdc), 1 hdc in each st across, change to blue, turn (12hdc)
  6. ch 1 (does not count as hdc), 1 hdc in each st across, turn (12hdc)
  7. ch 1 (does not count as hdc), 1 hdc in each st across, change to gray, turn (12 hdc)
  8. ch 1 (does not count as hdc), 1 hdc in each st across, change to white, turn (12hdc)
  9. ch 1 (does not count as sc), 1 sc in each st across, change to gray, turn (12sc)
  10. ch 1 (does not count as sc), 1 sc in each st across, change to white, turn (12sc)

  18. in blue join in 3rd st from tie off, doing your best job to keep it straight sl st all the way down to end of the 1st blue row, sl st in next 3 stitches over, turn and sl st back to the last row of gray, still doing your best to keep it straight, once you get to the end of the last row of gray sl st one over and sl st back to the 1st row of blue right next to the last row we just did, once you get to the 1st row of blue again sl st 3 across and sl st back down to the last row of gray, tie off (use picture below as guide)

  • now sew in all your ends to you plaid rectangle we are now going to make into the bow
  • using and color yarn you want, pinch middle of the plaid rectangle you just made together and wrap a good amount of yarn tightly around it to make the middle of the bow, use sewing needle to weave/sew end in
Collar Loop
  1. ch 5, sc in 2nd ch from hook, and each st across, turn (4sc)
  2. ch 1 (does not count as sc), 1 sc in each st across, turn (4sc)
  • ½ inch collar widths repeat row 2, 3 more times
  • 1 inch collar widths repeat row 2, 8 more times
  • 1 ½ inch collar widths repeat row 2, 12 more times
  • 2 in collar widths repeat row 2, 16 more times
  1. fold in half and slip stitch both sides together, tie off

  • sew flower to collar loop and sew in ends
  • ready to go! It will be a bit snug at fist going around the collar but it loosen a bit over time

Reflect a Flower Collar slip on

Reflect a Flower Collar
Using reflective yarn this collar accessory is perfect for those night time walks. To insure you can always see you fur baby! Also with not using much yarn to make this little beauty. Its a great stash buster for all that scrap yarn laying around! Made to fit most collars this will look great on any pet!

Need/Need to Know
  • N and I hook
  • Red Heart Reflective 2 colors and any worsted weight yarn any color
  • Needle to sew in ends
  • ( ) holds number of stitches
  • [ ] repeat whats inside
  • fits collars width from ½ inch to 2 inch
  • if you don't like the magic circle option you can use a chain 2 and crochet into the 2nd ch from hook
  • 1st chain in pattern never counts as 1st st

Flower
using N hook and Reflective yarn
  1. make magic circle, 10 hdc in magic circle, pull tight, join with 1st hdc, change color (10hdc)
  2. [ch 1, hdc, dc, tr dtr, tr, dc, hdc, all in next st, sl st in next st] repeat around, join to 1st hdc tie off (5 petals made up of 1 ch, 2 hdc, 2 dc, 2 tr, 1 dtr)

Collar Loop

Collar Flower 4 Pets


Pin Flower Applique
This is a slip on flower to slip on most size dog collars 
Will Need/Need to Know
  • I hook
  • Red Heart w/Love in 2 colors
  • Needle to sew in ends
  • ( ) holds needed info and number of stitches
  • picot = chain 3, sl st into 1st ch
  • for collars widths ½ inch to 2 inch
  • gauge is 8 stitches x 8 rows in single crochet = 2 in

Abbreviations
st(s) – stitch(s)
ch – chain
sc – single crochet
hdc – half double crochet
dc – double crochet
picot – picot

Petal make 6
  1. in color A, ch 7, hdc in 2nd ch from hook, hdc in next st, 1 dc in each of the next 2 sts, hdc in next st, 3 hdc in last st, rotate to other side of chain, hdc in next st, 1 dc in each of the next 2 sts, hdc in next st, 2 hdc in last st, join to 1st hdc and change to color B (14 sts)
  2. ch 1 (does not count as 1st st), turn, 1 sc in each of the next 5 sts, 1 hdc in next st, hdc and dc in next st, picot, dc and hdc in next st, hdc in next st, 1 sc in each of the next 5 sts, ch 1, join to 1st sc, tie off (16 sts and 1 picot)
sewing your flower petals together
  • sew in all ends to petals except the color B one closes to the edge/bottom see picture number 1
  • use the color B end to sew a small line into the petal and also use them to sew the 3 petal bottoms together see picture number 2
  • sew last 3 petals on one between each petal of the ones already sewn together see picture 3
  • and done ! See piture 4

Bowties Are Cool

Bowties Are Cool
This Doctor Who Inspired Pattern is for large dogs. Its simple and fast. Great stash scrap buster, and what Whovian fur parent wouldn't want their pup looking as snazzy as the Doctor !

Will Need/Need to Know
  • H-hook
  • Red Heart with Love in blue, white, red and a tiny bit of black
  • needle to sew in ends
  • ( ) holds number of stitches and needed info
  • [ ] repeat whats inside
  • do NOT turn unless told to do so in pattern
  • sizes are XL, 2XL, 3XL, 4XL, 5XL and appear in pattern as such
  • measurements are approximately 18, 20, 22, 24, 26 inches around
  • Note my sizes may differ then store bought items please measure around your pups head or neck whatever is bigger to determine size

Gauge
in double crochet, 8 stitches X 4 rows = 2 inches

Abbreviations
ch – chain

BL – back loop

Fez
  1. make magic circle, ch 1 (does not count as hdc), 10 hdc in magic circle, pull tight, join to 1st hdc (10hdc)

  3. ch 1 (does not count as hdc), [2 hdc in next st, 1 hdc in next st] repeat around, join in 1st hdc (30hdc)
  4. work this round in BL only, ch 1 (does not count as hdc), 1 hdc in each st around, join to 1st hdc (30hdc)
  5. ch 1 (does not count as hdc), 1 hdc in each st around, join to 1st hdc (30hdc)

  12. ch 1 (does not count as hdc), 1 hdc in each st around until last st, 2 hdc in last st, join to 1st hdc, tie off, sew in ends (34hdc)

Ties
  1. in black join In any chain, ch 40, tie off sew in ends, 1st tie made
  2. skip next 16 sts from the 1st tie, join in 17th st, ch 40, tie off, sew in ends 2nd tie made

Tassel
  1. cut 5 pieces of black yarn about 3 inches long, and 1 about 6 inches long
  2. follow the pictures

Sew on to middle top of fez and trip up/ sew in ends

You Fez is DONE! Lets move on to the rest

Collar

  1. in white, ch 72 (80,88,96,104), join to 1st ch, ch 2 (does not count as dc), 1 dc in each st around, join to 1st dc, change color to blue (72,80,88,96,104 dc)
  2. ch 1 (does not count as hdc), 1 hdc in each st around, join to 1st hdc, tie off blue and change color to white (72,80,88,96,104 hdc)
  3. ch 2 (does not count as dc), 1 dc in each st around, join to 1st dc (72,80,88,96,104 dc)
  4. work the row in BL only, ch 2 (does not count as dc), dc dec across next 2 sts, 1 dc in each of the next 68(76,84,92,100) sts, dc dec across next 2 sts, turn (70,78,86,94,102 dc)
  5. ch 2 (does not count as dc), [dc dec across next 2 sts] repeat 1 more time, 1 dc in each of the next 62(70,78,86,94) sts, [dc dec across next 2 sts] repeat 1 more time, tie off, sew in ends (66,74,82,90,98 dc)

Bowtie
  1. ch 16, sc in 2nd ch from hook, and each st across, turn (15sc)
  2. ch 1 (does not count as sc), 1 sc in each st across, turn (15sc)
3-8. repeat row 2

Middle of Bow
  1. ch 5, sc in 2nd ch from hook and each st acoss, turn (4sc)
  2. ch 1 (does not count as sc), 1 sc in each st across, turn (4sc)
3-8. repeat row 2, tie off

Assembling the Bowtie
  • pinch middle of bow together, sew middle of bow around the pinched part of bow, sew securely to the middle
  • sew bow to collar on the blue row in the middle of the collar opening
  • sew in ends flip your collar over and your done!
  • Now you pup will look and feel like a proud Whovian :)
