Doggy Cake

Doggy Cake

Yesterday we had a very special birthday in our house. Miss Bianca (Anca for short) turned 1! So for her first birthday I wanted to make it special, and make her a cake. So I started searching the google search to find a doggy cake recipe. I found this blog with a list of doggy cakes HERE, but I couldn't find one that I had all the ingredients for or one I liked so I came up with my own. So without more rambling on here is how I made this cake !

Ingredients

2 eggs
1 apple
2 bananas
1/4 heaping cup of peanut butter
1 teaspoon baking powder

makes 1 9in round cake
check to make sure your peanut butter does not contain Xylitol if it does you will need to buy a brand that does not contain this as it is poison to dogs

Prep

Heat oven to 350 deg.
grease 9in round cake pan

Directions

  1. peal and core apple
  2. mince apple
  3. thinly slice 1/2 of a banana
  4. mix eggs, minced apple, sliced banana, peanut butter, and backing powder, until all combined (a potato masher works great)
  5. put cake mix in greased pan and place in preheated oven for 20-25 min or until slightly golden brown
  6. let cool
  7. lightly frost with peanut butter
  8. slice the other 1 1/2 banana and place on top and your done !

Hope you and your pup enjoy !

Hugs Chillz Cooling Dog Pad Review

Hugs Chillz Cooling Pad Review
So this purchases was made because we live in Minnesota. It gets really hot and muggy here in the summer time. So knowing bully's are not made for the heat we went on a search to help our bully stay cool. This mat is what we ended up buying as it seemed to be the best product at price that didn't break the bank. I got this online from shopfreely.com for $35.99 ! A steal for the size I got! We got size large by the way. It measures 36” x 20” . Also after a month of use I will come back and update this to let you all know how it is holding up or held up. Okay now lets take a close look.

This is what the front and back of the box looks like. It says this about the Hugs Chillz cooling pad.
  • non-toxic
  • no need to freeze or chill
  • cool gel keeps pets comfy
  • pressure-activated
  • puncture-resistant
  • folds up for storage
  • durable
  • use indoors, outdoors, and for travel on the go
  • its keeps your pets cool by creating a lower temperature then their body temperature
  • can be soothing for pets with joint pain
Some close ups of the box it came in.

Here is what it looked like right out of the box on the top left. Top right is a close up of the emblem/logo. Bottom right is what it looks like laid out in my bully's crate. Bottom left is what it looks like folded in half.
I think when we go on car trips we will bring this along it will fit folded in half perfectly on one seat. Not sure if we will use it in the crate as our bedroom is in the basement and stays nice and cool for our Bully, but I plan on using this outside alot! Now lets see what our Bully Anca thought!

Anca wasn't sure of it at first when it was inside the house. So we put it outside and did some playing. After all that running around it was her new best friend ! I did have to test this out myself as well and sat on it and yes it makes your bum chilly ! No water, no freezing, no recharging, no work ! If it seems to no longer to be cool just move your pet off for a few min and the gel will recharge itself !

I have to say so far I'm pretty impressed with this item. I mean even the packing was just adorable. Little packing bones instead of peanuts ! They were even 100% recyclable and biodegradable !

How did it hold up months after use ? Well I bought this item in June, and I just put it away for the winter months ahead as its now November. It's still in perfect condition, and works great. It was super easy to keep clean with just a good wipe down, and put away nice for storage. Over all we are very very happy with this.

Bully Family in Pain Needs Your Help !

Bully Family in Pain Need Your Help!

In Albuquerque, NM a man shot and killed 3 innocent beautiful dogs with not one but two different guns while they were trapped in fencing..... Now how sporting is that.... Its not its horrible unspeakable unthinkable to anyone who loves their own pet. Now theses 3 dogs were not vicious attack dogs. No they were a loving mother and her two baby pups. This man who could have easily done something other then shoot 2 innocent puppies and their mother. And now it seems this heart broken family missing their beloved pet wont get any justice for what was done to their family! So if you feel as I do. That this is WRONG and the family deserves JUSTICE please please click the link below and sign and share their petition to get the justice they deserve so they can cope with this horrifying loss to their family.

Bark Box the UnBoxing April 2015

Bark Box Unboxing !

Okay ! Lets start. We are going to let Bianca (Anca) open and check everything out first. Then at the end I will let you know my thoughts and an itemized list. Hope you enjoy ! Oh and there is a Coupon code at the bottom too!

Opening the Box

Lets dig right in ! We ordered the box for size just right 20-50 lbs.

First we checked out the toys. There was a ball rope thing. It was ok. I’ll pry play with it latter. But this crinkly squeaky thing is awesome!

Second we checked out the treats. I gave them the sniff test and the little heart crunchy's smelled so good I didn't wait for mom. I took my own. Mom had to help me with the the other ones. They were pretty good too.

Last there was a chew! I love love love chew's!

So there you have it. I Anca love it all ! Now you can hear from mom...

Okay so here is my thoughts on bark box. The box size we picked was Just right for 20-50 lbs (you can change this latter on to bigger size). The treats were awesome. All gluten free and they smelled so good you wanted to eat them ! The toys are great both made in the US. The tug and pull rope ball is made out 100% cotton and earth friendly dyes. It also can go right in the washer when its dirty. Okay the chew. The chew was a 100% natural salmon skin. Anca loved it.... It said hours of chewing ….. well Anca had this thing gone I mean gone in an hour. So I will be doing some research on how healthy it was for her to eat that all in one go before I decide if I’m reordering it.

Here is the list of each item and what each item is worth

Harry Barker Tug & Toss (rope ball tug) - $8.00

Pet Qwerks Pawpcorn (popcorn crinkle squeaker) - $10.00

Healthy Dogma Bacon Hearts (treats) - $8.00

Your Dog's Diner Pizza Pawty Crust (treats) - $7.00

Aussie Naturals Salmon Half Cigar (chew) - $5.00

So all in all I'm very happy with bark box. I love that I can change my subscriptions if I need to. It is specific to my dog and her age and weight.
So if you thinking about checking it out I'm leaving the link below. Also if you decided to try bark box please order through the link I provided and help me help you help me lol. What I mean by that is if any of my friends sign up for bar box using my referral code L25WGZAQLC we both get one free bark box ! How cool is that I didn't even know about that when I signed up ! So ok heres the link.
